LHH are working with a highly regarded international law firm in Manchester to recruit an Associate into its Real Estate Finance practice. This is an opportunity to join a genuinely market leading team known for combining deep sector expertise, outstanding technical capability and a strong commercial mindset.
The practice is consistently recognised at the very top of the legal directories across the full range of real estate disciplines, with lawyers widely acknowledged as leaders in their fields. The team advises on complex, high value real estate finance transactions across the UK and Europe.
The role offers exposure to a truly integrated real estate finance platform based across several UK offices, including London and key regional hubs, with matters resourced seamlessly across locations. The practice also works closely with colleagues across Europe, including continental offices and a dedicated cross border finance capability, providing genuine international deal exposure.
You would be expected to:
- Lead on real estate finance transactions across a wide range of asset classes, acting for both lender and sponsor clients
- Draft and negotiate key finance documentation, including facility agreements, priority arrangements and related ancillary documents
- Manage transaction teams, working closely with junior associates, trainees and paralegals across the UK and internationally
- Develop and strengthen client relationships, with exposure to banks, investment banks, private capital, alternative lenders, developers and long standing institutional clients
- Take an active role in client teams, supporting the delivery of an excellent client service while helping to grow and deepen relationships
- Contribute to sector or specialist initiatives, depending on your interests, to help develop expertise and share knowledge across the practice
- Support partners and senior lawyers with the supervision, mentoring and development of junior team members
