About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Company Secretary to join a well-established, growing organisation and support its in-house Governance and Legal function.

Working within a collaborative team of governance, compliance and legal professionals, you will gain broad exposure to company secretarial and corporate governance matters across a diverse group of entities.

This position would suit an individual looking to further develop their company secretarial career within a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining statutory registers and corporate records across a portfolio of entities.
  • Ensuring corporate information and documentation are accurately maintained and updated within governance systems.
  • Preparing and submitting statutory filings and compliance documentation.
  • Supporting the administration of board and committee meetings, including preparation of meeting packs and related documentation.
  • Assisting with corporate governance projects and the ongoing development of governance frameworks.
  • Supporting compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions and liaising with external advisers where required.
  • Responding to due diligence, compliance and corporate information requests.
  • Providing administrative support in relation to share-related transactions and corporate actions.
  • Assisting with wider governance and company secretarial activities as required.
  • Candidate Profile
  • Part-qualified or fully qualified governance professional (or equivalent) with at least two years of relevant company secretarial experience.
  • Strong understanding of UK company law and corporate governance requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with entity management or governance software would be advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable and eager to learn.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities effectively and work independently when required.
