We are seeking a Technical Services Trainer to deliver high-quality technical training to customers, technicians, and internal teams. Reporting to the Technical Training Lead, you will play a key role in delivering engaging training programmes, maintaining training content, and supporting the ongoing development of the Delphi Academy curriculum. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strong training delivery skills and offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge automotive technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Training Delivery
- Deliver engaging technical training across areas such as diagnostics, EV/hybrid systems, ADAS, emissions, electronics, and chassis technologies.
- Simplify complex technical concepts into practical, easy-to-understand training.
- Adapt training style to suit different audience levels.
- Maintain accurate training and attendance records.
- Develop and update training materials, presentations, and course content.
- Ensure content aligns with current industry standards, legislation, and product updates.
- Use feedback to continuously improve training programmes.
- Support development of new courses aligned with emerging technologies.
- Act as a technical ambassador, delivering a high-quality learning experience.
- Support learners before, during, and after training.
- Participate in demonstrations, open days, and industry events.
- Build relationships with customers, distributors, and partners.
- Support the planning and scheduling of training sessions.
- Ensure all equipment, tools, and workshop facilities are prepared and maintained.
- Identify and resolve technical or equipment issues.
- Contribute to improving training operations and delivery.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure consistent messaging.
- Support product launches with training input.
- Stay up to date with new automotive technologies and industry trends.
- Contribute to internal training and cross-functional projects.
Requirements
- Essential
- Proven experience delivering technical training within the automotive sector.
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle systems, diagnostics, and emerging technologies (EV, hybrid, ADAS).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience developing training materials (classroom and/or e-learning).
- Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools and automotive equipment.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- High level of IT literacy, including familiarity with e-learning platforms.
- Ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience within the automotive aftermarket.
- Experience working in a global or matrix organisation.
