Audit Assistant Manager

The Role
I'm working with a well-established accountancy practice that is looking to add an Audit Assistant Manager to its team.
This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of audit assignments from planning through to completion, work closely with clients and support the development of junior members of the team.
You'll work alongside Managers and Directors, with plenty of responsibility across the day-to-day delivery of audits and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, managing queries and keeping communication clear throughout the audit
- Review work completed by junior team members and provide guidance and feedback
- Support with budgets, monitor progress and manage any variances throughout assignments
- Keep track of time and resources to ensure work remains within budget
- Ensure all audit work complies with relevant accounting and auditing standards
- Support and mentor junior members of the team, helping with their development and progression
- Work closely with Managers and Directors to ensure a smooth service for clients
- Get involved in wider team and ad hoc projects where required
About You
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
- Previous experience within an audit and accounts environment
- Strong understanding of audit, accounting and regulatory standards
- Confident managing client relationships and dealing with queries
- Comfortable supervising and supporting junior team members
- Good knowledge of FRS and IFRS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with CCH and Inflo would be beneficial, although full training and support will be provided
