We're seeking a forward-thinking Senior IP Lawyer to join the global legal function of a rapidly scaling international start-up at the forefront of technology, innovation, and advanced manufacturing. The Role
- As a key member of the legal team, you will drive the development, protection, and enforcement of a robust global IP portfolio.
- Your work will span patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and corporate legal strategy, with direct impact on the company's innovation pipeline and commercial growth.
Core Focus Areas:
- Lead and support IP strategy development across international markets.
- Oversee IP portfolio management and governance in alignment with business objectives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (R&D, brand, commercial) to identify, register, and protect IP assets.
- Coordinate with external counsel on filings, prosecution, and enforcement activities.
- Provide strategic input on IP litigation and risk management.
- Monitor legal developments across IP and corporate law that may impact operations.
What We're Looking For
- UK Qualified lawyer (LLB/LLM or equivalent) with a specialisation in Intellectual Property.
- Strong background in IP law-ideally within a top-tier law firm and/or in-house legal team.
- Experience managing cross-border IP portfolios and working with international treaties.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to translate legal insight into strategic action.
- Industry experience in tech, automotive, advanced manufacturing, or R&D is highly valued.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
