Our well respected, Oxford based client is seeking an Interim Senior Group VAT Manager on an initial 3-6-month contract. Due to changes within the team and a transformation across the department, my client is seeking an experienced VAT Manager who can join their team immediately. Candidates must be confident communicators, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues across the business. Knowledge and expertise within a commercial setting is essential. This role will report directly into the Head of Tax. This is a hybrid position, requiring 2 days in the Oxford based office.
- Experience of working in an Indirect Tax role in a global environment
- Tax or Accountancy qualification
- Significant tax technical knowledge of global business
- Expertise in VAT rules including place of supply, exemptions, reverse charge, distance registrations and IOSS etc
- Knowledge of overseas VATs preferably including US state sales taxes
- Knowledge of relevant Customs issues
- Strong and effective communication written and verbal skills at all levels of the organisation e.g., business leaders
- Candidates from a practice background would be preferred, but not essential
This role is paying a day rate, between £700-800 per day inside IR35.
