Restructuring & Insolvency Solicitor | Manchester | Build a regional practice
We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading national law firm that is investing in its Restructuring & Insolvency offering. They’re looking for an experienced solicitor to join the team in Manchester and help develop the practice in the North.
The role
You’ll join a well-established national Finance & Restructuring group and work alongside senior partners who have built an ambitious, growing Restructuring & Insolvency team covering both contentious and non-contentious matters. Recent partner-level investment shows the firm’s commitment to growth in this area.
Your work will be predominantly non-contentious, advisory and transactional, and will link closely with the corporate, finance and real estate teams across the firm. You’ll advise a broad range of stakeholders in distressed situations, including lenders, investors, corporates, directors, individuals and public bodies, as well as acting for insolvency practitioners. You’ll also work on a mix of domestic and cross-border transactions, many of them high-value and complex.
About you
You’ll ideally have 7+ years’ PQE, gained at a firm known for high-quality restructuring and insolvency work, and be ambitious to progress, grow your network and build a practice. You will have:
- The ability to win work from clients
- Drive and self-motivation to help build a practice
- The ability to build rapport with colleagues and support them in advising their clients on restructuring matters
- Experience managing and supervising junior team members
- Experience running transactional and other work as the day-to-day fee earner
- A technically strong background
- Excellent drafting and verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- The ability to absorb a lot of information quickly and focus on the key issues
- Good time and file management skills to juggle multiple matters
- A real commitment to outstanding client service
- The ability to work well under pressure
- Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative, ambitious team
