Senior Accountant

The role
This is a great opportunity for an experienced practice professional to join a close-knit and high-performing team. You'll take ownership of your own client portfolio, working with a range of owner-managed businesses across different sectors, while also supporting the wider team with reviews and workflow management.
The role offers a broad mix of responsibilities across accounts and tax, with the opportunity to get involved in audit work where required. It's well suited to someone looking for a varied position with scope to make a real impact within a growing office.
Key responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact throughout the year
- Preparing statutory accounts for a range of business types and sizes
- Producing corporate tax computations and handling related queries
- Reviewing accounts and tax work completed by junior team members
- Coordinating workloads and ensuring deadlines are met across the team
- Advising owner-managed businesses on financial and business matters
- Supporting with technical queries across accounts, tax, and audit
- Assisting with audit assignments where required
About you
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Minimum of 4 years' experience within an accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge across accounts and tax
- Experience managing a client portfolio
- Commercially aware with a proactive approach
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Office
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
