An established and growing accountancy firm is looking to add to its team with the appointment of a Semi Senior or Senior Accountant. This is a varied role offering exposure to a wide client base, with responsibility across accounts, tax, and client advisory. You’ll have the opportunity to manage your own workload, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the development of junior team members, all within a flexible and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparing year‑end accounts for a broad portfolio of clients
  • Producing corporation tax and personal tax returns
  • Handling and reviewing VAT returns, providing guidance on compliance
  • Supporting clients with budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow planning
  • Preparing P11Ds and assisting with tax planning work
  • Managing your own deadlines and client commitments
  • Communicating financial information clearly to clients
  • Attending client meetings and contributing to internal discussions
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
  • Identifying opportunities to add value and promote additional services

About you:

  • Experience within an accountancy practice in a similar role
  • AAT qualified, ACA / ACCA studying, or qualified by experience
  • Strong understanding of accounts and tax compliance
  • Good communication skills and confidence working with clients
  • Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
  • A proactive and team‑oriented approach
  • Keen to continue developing professionally
