Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is the largest of Scotland’s seven regional transport partnerships. As well as running the iconic Glasgow Subway, SPT delivers an extensive range of public transport services, including subsidised bus routes, school transport, bus infrastructure, operating bus stations and managing large transport infrastructure projects.
The Head of Service Delivery is a lead role for the organisation, reporting directly to the Chief Executive you will work collaboratively with external stakeholders including Scottish Government, Transport Scotland, local bus operators, passenger groups and local authority representatives. Utilising data and analysis as appropriate, you will engage with a wide range of colleagues to improve and deliver bus services and supporting infrastructure to the highest quality standards. You will strive to ensure robust supported bus network design and delivery, that meets the needs of the travelling public in the west of Scotland.
We have a fantastic opportunity to influence and improve bus service delivery, through developing efficient, attractive, sustainable and high-quality supported bus routes, focused on supporting passenger needs both now and in the future.
We’re looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent organisational skills and the ability to lead teams through change. Someone who can lead people, work with key stakeholders, influence partners and who has an eye for detail to ensure all contracts, expectations and agreements are delivered. Demonstrable success in managing services which focus on customer care and satisfaction would be beneficial as would the ability to understand how people, culture, and processes come together for success.
This exciting role offers an opportunity to shape bus service delivery across the west of Scotland over coming years. Your background is less important than the skills, mindset and experience you will bring of delivering ‘best in class’ customer focused services.
