LHH is working in partnership with our respected public sector client as they seek a procurement leader who will provide procurement and commercial expertise, supporting a specialised team in the delivery of high value complex public sector contracts.

The organisation has a contract portfolio that supports the delivery of a wide range of essential public services provided by councils and includes contracts for social care. This is designed to maximise the value of council spending through savings, efficiency and innovation and their contracts also facilitate national and local policy priorities, support the local economy, and generate additional social value for Scotland’s communities.

Within the role you will develop and implement sourcing strategies, building strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will support your direct reports to oversee the end-to-end procurement process, drive continuous improvement, manage provider performance to ensure best value through a robust commercial approach.

A core part of the role will be working closely with a wide range of key stakeholders to develop national solutions which embed national policies and best practice and provide local commissioners with a choice of high-quality services which meet the individual needs of people who require support.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced public sector procurement professional with a strong commercial mindset and a proven ability to manage people, bringing practical experience of delivering and managing complex contracts.
