McNicol Insulation is a well-established organisation based in Cumbernauld, specialising in high-quality thermal insulation, cladding, and energy-saving solutions for commercial, retail, and office buildings. Due to continued growth, we are pleased to offer an exciting new part-time opportunity within our estimating team.
The Role
Working as part of our experienced estimating team, the successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate take-offs from construction drawings for thermal insulation projects. Our work is primarily delivered in collaboration with M&E contractors on pipework and ductwork installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking off sizes and quantities for pipework, ductwork, tanks, and associated insulation
- Measuring and quantifying fittings, valves, flanges, and related components
- Reviewing construction and M&E drawings to prepare accurate estimates
- Supporting the estimating team with project pricing and tender submissions
Key Skills & Experience Required
- Experience carrying out take-offs from construction or M&E drawings
- Familiarity with thermal insulation projects (pipework and ductwork) is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working in an office-based, team environment
