Since 1996, Foundation Scotland has helped distribute more than £220 million to charities and community groups across Scotland, creating happier, fairer, and more sustainable communities. All over Scotland, local groups and charities have ideas and plans for how to make their communities happier, fairer, and more sustainable. What they often lack is the financial support to help make those ideas happen.
We work with funders, donors and philanthropists who want to support and strengthen the building blocks of these communities. We help them to channel their giving in a way that is most meaningful to them, or to support communities that they have a particular connection with.
Foundation Scotland is seeking an experienced qualified accountant on an interim basis who will work closely with our finance lead to provide the organisation with hands-on finance support ensuring the smooth operation of the function.
We require someone who can quickly integrate into the team and who is comfortable undertaking a variety of tasks which will include:
- Preparation of financial information for the board
- Financial modelling
- Leading the delivery of finance projects
Foundation Scotland operates a remote first approach, requiring colleagues who can work with a degree of autonomy, and who can demonstrate strong time and project management capability. Although remote, there will be an ad-hoc requirement to attend meetings on-site across Scotland.
If you are a qualified accountant seeking a role in an organisation with real purpose and impact on the communities of Scotland, we look forward to receiving your application.
