The Deputy Safeguarding Lead will play a key role in supporting the safeguarding work, helping to ensure that children, young people and vulnerable adults are protected and supported across the Church’s structures and communities.

Working closely with the Head of Safeguarding, the postholder will:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of safeguarding policy and practice
  • Provide advice and support to clergy, staff and volunteers
  • Deliver safeguarding training
  • Liaise effectively with statutory and external partners

The role requires sound professional judgement, strong interpersonal skills, and an appreciation of the culture, ethos and mission of the organisation.
