About the Role
Based in the firm's Bristol office, the successful candidate will become an integral part of a collaborative and expanding team. The team handles a diverse range of complex and high-value disputes, including:
- Commercial contract disputes
- Shareholder and director conflicts
- Warranty claims and post-acquisition disagreements
- Professional negligence cases
- Banking and finance litigation
- Civil fraud matters
The team is led by a Partner renowned for providing clear, commercial, and practical advice, with a strong focus on understanding clients' businesses and objectives. The Partner's approachable nature and strategic insight have been instrumental in achieving favorable outcomes for clients across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of files, dealing effectively with cases and transactions
- Build credibility with clients and develop relationships by managing expectations regarding options, outcomes, risks, and timescales
- Develop market and sector knowledge to demonstrate expertise to clients
- Grow internal and external networks of clients, intermediaries, and contacts
- Support junior team members by providing technical, business, and general advice
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 3-5 years' PQE in commercial dispute resolution, ideally gained at a reputable national or regional firm
- Experience in handling a broad spectrum of disputes, including commercial contracts, shareholder issues, and professional negligence
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude
- Ability to manage own files and delegate work effectively
