Are you ready to lead a talented corporate team in a vibrant legal environment? Our client, a respected law firm known for delivering exceptional legal support, is on the lookout for a Legal Director to take charge of their corporate and commercial practise in the heart of Leeds.
About the Role:
As the Legal Director, you will have the exciting opportunity to step into a leadership position and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the firm. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the corporate side of the commercial team, with a focus on share and asset sales and acquisitions ranging from £500k to £20m.
- Overseeing company restructuring and advising on corporate governance and director training.
- Managing shareholder agreements and providing strategic advice to clients, particularly those in the technology sector.
- Collaborating closely with the current head of the team and mentoring junior solicitors and paralegals.

The ideal candidate will be:
- An experienced corporate lawyer who can work independently across all areas of corporate law.
- A well-connected professional ready to leverage existing relationships and build new connections within the legal and business community.
- Ambitious and eager to join the board after an initial period, with the potential to take on the role of Compliance Officer for Legal Practise (COLP).
- Versatile enough to assist with some commercial work, enhancing resilience within the team.
