Position: Commercial Property Solicitor

Salary guide: £60,000 – £75,000 per annum
The Role:
We are partnered with our leading client in Cambridge seeking a 2-5 year PQE solicitor to join their dynamic Commercial Property team. This is a full-time permanent role offers the opportunity to further develop your expertise while contributing to the growth and success of the team. Hybrid working is available.
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of commercial property work, including the acquisition and disposal of both freehold and leasehold properties.
- Handle investment portfolio management and residential development site matters.
- Assist with property finance work, landlord and tenant issues, and corporate support.
- Provide legal advice and services across a range of commercial property matters, including pre-letting, lease renewals, terminations, dilapidations, rent reviews, and lease extensions.
- Advise clients on assignments, sub-lettings, alterations, and collective enfranchisement.
- Manage your own caseload, ensuring efficient and effective handling of client matters.
- Advise clients on costs, including the preparation of Letters of Engagement.
- Collaborate with agents, surveyors, accountants, and other professionals to resolve client issues.
- Prepare legal documents, reports, letters, and submit searches as required.
- Assess legal issues and provide appropriate advice on courses of action.
- Participate in business development activities, attending events to foster new business opportunities.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years PQE.
- Proven experience dealing with commercial property matters.
- Strong technical knowledge and the ability to apply it in practical settings
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to manage and prioritize a demanding caseload
- A proactive approach to client relationships and business development
- A commitment to professional development and staying up-to-date with changes in law and practice
Package:
- Competitive salary between £50,000 – £65,000 per annum (depending on experience).
