I'm currently working with a highly regarded professional services firm looking to appoint an M&A Tax Assistant Manager to join its growing Transactions Tax team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager looking to specialise in M&A, or an existing Transactions Tax professional looking to further develop their career within a high-performing team.
You'll gain exposure to a broad range of transactions, working with a variety of clients including owner-managed businesses, private equity-backed companies and larger corporate groups. The role offers the opportunity to be involved in complex advisory work, develop your technical expertise and work alongside experienced specialists.
The Role
As an M&A Tax Assistant Manager, you'll support the delivery of transaction tax projects, working closely with senior team members, clients and wider advisory teams.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting tax due diligence assignments across buy-side and sell-side transactions.
- Assisting with transaction structuring advice and identifying tax-efficient solutions.
- Working alongside Corporate Finance and other advisory specialists on a variety of projects.
- Managing client communication and building strong relationships.
- Preparing technical analysis, reports and client deliverables.
- Supporting the development of junior team members through coaching and review.
- Contributing to business development activities and helping to grow client relationships.
About You
You'll ideally be CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with experience in UK Corporate Tax and an interest in Transaction Tax.
You'll also have:
- Experience working in Corporate Tax, Transactions Tax or a related advisory role.
- Strong technical tax knowledge and the ability to apply it commercially.
- Good client management and communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach to learning and developing within the M&A space.
