We're partnering with a well-established Top 100 UK accountancy and business advisory firm that is looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Senior Manager to join its growing Birmingham office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Corporate Tax professional seeking a senior leadership position within a firm that combines ambitious growth plans with a collaborative and supportive culture.
Working closely with Partners and Directors, you'll play a key role in managing client relationships, delivering complex advisory projects, developing the team, and supporting the continued growth of the tax function.
The Role
As a Corporate Tax Senior Manager, you'll take responsibility for a significant portfolio of clients ranging from owner-managed businesses through to large corporate groups and international businesses. You'll be involved in a broad range of tax advisory assignments while overseeing the delivery of high-quality compliance services and helping to shape the future direction of the department.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a substantial portfolio of corporate tax clients
- Review complex corporation tax returns, computations and group structures
- Lead the delivery of corporate tax advisory projects
- Act as a trusted adviser to clients on a range of tax matters
- Build and maintain strong long-term client relationships
- Support Partners and Directors with strategic client work
- Manage workflow, utilisation, WIP and billing processes
- Lead, mentor and develop members of the tax team
- Identify and pursue opportunities for additional services and new business
- Support tenders, proposals and fee negotiations
- Ensure clients remain informed of relevant legislative and regulatory developments
About you
- CTA qualified, ACA qualified or both
- Extensive Corporate Tax experience gained within accountancy practice
- Proven experience managing complex client portfolios
- Strong technical knowledge across corporate tax compliance and advisory work
- Experience managing and developing teams
- Commercially aware with strong business development skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Ambitious and motivated to contribute to the growth of the department
