Job Description
Automation and Control Technician
North East
£40,830 – £47,435 per year (inc shift allowance) + bonus
LHH is partnering with a Leading Manufacturer as they are seeking to recruit an experienced Automation and Control Technician with experience in PLC systems, SCADA, and industrial instrumentation.
In this role you will maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance automation and control systems, diagnosing and resolving faults in PLC, SCADA, and industrial control systems (Siemens S7 / Allen Bradley). You will also be required to maintain and calibrate instrumentation, control loops, and variable speed drives, support system upgrades and commissioning of automation equipment. All activities must be carried out to the required compliance of safety, quality, and operational efficiency standards.
We are looking for technicians who can work independently and as part of a team. Educated to minimum HNC (or equivalent) qualification level or above in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering and/or a time-served apprenticeship in a relevant field. You must also have gained Experience within an industrial environment with hands-on experience with PLC programming and fault-finding (Siemens S7 / Allen Bradley) and knowledge of SCADA, HMI, Profibus, and Profinet networks.
