Job Advert: Treasury Dealer

Location: Warwick, 1 day a week on site
Contract Type: Permanent
Annual Salary: £65,000+ depending on experience
Working Pattern: Full Time

Our client is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Treasury Dealer to join their esteemed organisation. This pivotal role is situated within the Treasury department and plays a crucial part in supporting the Group's funding, liquidity management, and financial risk management activities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage with debt capital markets, lead treasury dealings, and ensure compliance with regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Treasury Dealer, you will be tasked with a variety of exciting responsibilities, including:

Debt Capital Markets (DCM):

• Manage the execution of external financing transactions, including bonds, private placements, and loans.
• Coordinate day-to-day interactions with banks related to funding activities.
• Oversee internal approvals, documentation, and execution processes for funding transactions.

Rating Agency Engagement:

• Actively participate in managing relationships with credit rating agencies.
• Prepare engaging briefing materials and presentations for rating agency meetings.
• Monitor and maintain key liquidity and credit metrics models to support decision-making.

Treasury Dealing (Investing & Hedging):

• Execute treasury transactions, including cash investments and short-term liquidity management.
• Manage FX, interest rate, and inflation hedging activities.
• Ensure compliance with treasury policies and maintain accurate transaction records.

Ofgem Regulatory Reporting:

• Lead the preparation of treasury-related regulatory reports for Ofgem.
• Guarantee accuracy and consistency in data for regulatory submissions and internal reporting.
• Analyse regulatory mechanisms, such as cost of debt allowances and financial covenants.

Governance and Controls:

• Ensure adherence to treasury policies and financial controls.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for treasury processes and reporting.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

To thrive in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Proficiency in complex financial modelling and the ability to interpret results effectively.
• Exceptional analytical skills and advanced MS Excel capabilities.
• Proven experience in treasury or accounting/finance
• Solid understanding of financial markets, hedging strategies, and derivative products.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, complemented by high attention to detail.
