Housing Manager We are seeking an experienced Housing Manager to oversee accommodation services provided by LHG (London Hotels Group) Housing Section. You will be responsible for managing one of our housing complexes in Greater London, maintaining regular contact with council guests, addressing complaints and health and safety matters, and coordinating property repairs and maintenance. You will work with clients including people experiencing homelessness, minority groups, and people with disabilities, while line-managing housing officers, cleaning staff, and maintenance teams. Responsibilities As a Housing Manager, your main responsibilities will include: * Managing a temporary accommodation housing site * Implementing and maintaining company standards and policies * Managing breaches of company rules and regulations * Ensuring health and safety audits and fire risk assessments are completed and acted upon * Keeping site certifications up to date, including gas, electrical, and TV licences * Providing regular health and safety and fire training for staff * Maintaining site properties through inspections and repairs * Managing reception, housekeeping, and maintenance staff * Recruiting, training, supervising, and monitoring staff workloads * Managing unauthorised occupiers and challenging guest situations * Investigating and responding to client complaints * Maintaining records and preparing reports * Submitting relevant reports to Head Office * Liaising with local authorities and welfare organisations, including social workers * Building positive relationships within the community * Identifying housing needs Skills * Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and organisational skills * Sensitivity and empathy * An interest in working with diverse social groups * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * A customer-focused approach * Strong negotiation and influencing skills * Leadership skills * The ability to adapt to changing situations * Self-motivation and resilience * Problem-solving skills * Sound judgement and the ability to use initiative when making decisions * The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines * Good IT skills * Experience in the hotel or hospitality sector is desirable
