We are seeking an experienced Contractor's Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, contract administration, procurement, valuations, and ensuring profitability while maintaining quality and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects. Assess project requirements and provide cost planning. Conduct feasibility studies and risk analysis.
  • Tendering & Procurement: Procure materials and subcontractor services within budget constraints. Assist in the negotiation of subcontractor contracts and ensure cost efficiency.
  • Contract Administration: Manage contractual obligations and ensure compliance. Prepare and review contracts, variations, and claims. Handle contractual disputes and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Valuations & Payment Management: Prepare interim valuations and final accounts. Assess and approve subcontractor and supplier payments. Monitor cash flow and ensure timely payments.
  • Cost Control & Reporting: Track project costs, budgets, and expenditures. Prepare financial reports and forecasts for senior management. Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend cost-control measures.
  • Site Visits & Client Liaison: Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure cost efficiency. Liaise with clients, consultants, and project managers. Provide advice on contractual and cost-related matters.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (RICS, CIOB, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Proven experience working as a Contractor's Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of JCT Form of Contract.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
