This 24-month apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across all areas of the People and Culture (HR) function while working towards a Level 3 CIPD qualification. You\'ll be part of a supportive, collaborative team and develop valuable skills that will set the foundation for a long-term career in People and Culture.
What you will be doing:
As a People and Culture Apprentice, you will provide wide-ranging administrative support to the team while learning the core principles of HR in practice. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining accurate employee records, trackers and HR system data.
- Assisting with drafting letters, processing forms and filing documentation.
- Monitoring and responding to the People and Culture shared mailbox.
- Supporting audits and compliance activities, ensuring confidentiality and data accuracy.
- Supporting recruitment campaigns, including posting adverts, liaising with candidates and arranging interviews.
- Assisting with onboarding new starters, pre-employment checks, inductions and probation administration.
- Maintaining job descriptions and recruitment records.
- Supporting payroll and benefits administration by maintaining accurate employee data.
- Assisting with absence recording and employee lifecycle changes.
- Maintaining training records and supporting internal training programmes.
- Tracking mandatory training and professional development activity.
- Supporting People and Culture projects and process improvements.
- Assisting with performance review cycles and reward-related administration.
- Contributing positively to the wider People and Culture team and organisation.
- Alongside your day-to-day role, you will complete structured learning and professional development as part of your CIPD Level 3 apprenticeship.
What you need:
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in People and Culture (Human Resources).
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time and prioritise tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Sound IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel and SharePoint.
Eligibility requirements:
- Aged 18 or over.
- Right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the apprenticeship.
- GCSEs (grade C / 4 or above) in Maths and English.
- 3 A Levels or equivalent (grade C or above).
- Not already holding a qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject.
- Familiarity with HR systems or applicant tracking systems. (Desirable)
