We support hybrid working with a requirement to work from the office for a minimum of 2 days per week. We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Business Partnerships Manager to join our Applied Sciences team. Depending on your experience, you will be appointed at either Senior or Principal level. You will bring together scientific expertise and commercial acumen to build meaningful relationships, communicate the value of our solutions, and open doors in new markets and geographies. This is a high-profile, externally facing role that will see you representing Lhasa at conferences, workshops, and industry events worldwide. Both roles report to the Associate Director, Applied Sciences.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Building and developing a strong network of relationships with prospects and member organisations
- Promoting our solutions through high-impact scientific communication, including presenting at conferences, organising workshops, and maintaining a visible external presence across digital channels
- Scoping and discussing bespoke, complex solutions with prospects, drawing on your scientific knowledge and understanding of customer workflows
- Working closely with Marketing to drive demand, support lead generation, and provide intelligence on market trends and competitive activity
- Contributing to the development and implementation of Lhasa's Growth Strategy, identifying new market segments, geographic expansion opportunities, and partnership models
- Coaching and mentoring colleagues across the Applied Sciences team
- Leading the commercial strategy for priority market segments, taking ownership of Lhasa's overall Growth Strategy and presenting proposals directly to senior leadership
- Serving as the commercial escalation point across the Applied Sciences team for complex negotiations, high-value contracts, pricing decisions, and bespoke solution scoping
- Operating with significant autonomy at a senior level, influencing and building consensus across the organisation and with senior leadership
- Shaping demand generation strategy in close partnership with Marketing, providing strategic commercial intelligence
You are a credible scientific communicator with the ability to engage confidently with both scientific and commercial audiences. You have a strong understanding of chemical structures, toxicology, metabolism, degradation, and organic reaction mechanisms, and can apply this knowledge in complex customer conversations. You must be willing and able to travel regularly, nationally and internationally, to maintain key relationships and represent Lhasa at industry events.
