Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fully-qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) and hands-on Financial Controller to join a growing global private equity firm’s Finance team, to take responsibility for UK and French legal entities and revenue accounting, including:

    • Oversight of month-end close of UK group and French group entities
    • Financial regulatory reporting in the UK and France – review, submission, co-ordination with Compliance department, implementation of new requirements when they arise, regulatory capital forecast
    • Preparation of statutory accounts and management of year-end audit of UK and French entities
    • Oversight of revenue recognition and business partnering with project teams and the FP&A team to validate revenue streams, contract terms and billing schedules
    • Oversight of accounts receivables
    • Support the implementation and optimisation of revenue-related systems and controls
    • Management of two direct reports
    • Develop and maintain revenue recognition accounting policies and procedures
    • Identify and implement improvements to drive more robust and efficient operational processes for financial reporting
    • Support strategic projects and other ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required

Profile Criteria:

    1. Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) candidate with solid / significant post-qualification work experience, preferably from the investment management or financial services sector
    2. Well-rounded finance accounting skills covering hands-on involvement with statutory accounts production, financial control, oversight of the yearly audit, tax compliance, core month-end processes, statutory, revenue reporting / recognition, oversight / management of AR processes, etc.
    3. Must be a confident, hands-on and experienced man-manager with capable problem-solving, horizon/future planning, bottleneck avoiding/clearing, task setting experience
    4. Excellent communication skills and a social personality
