Candidates can be Part-Qualified / Finalist or Fully-Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) and must have experience working in a finance-based reporting role (management accounts, financial reporting, product control, tax or regulatory reporting) with experience of the following: performance reporting, budget monitoring, performance analysis and data visualisation. Additional Purpose / Coverage of Role:

  • Proactive exploration and Finance use case prototyping of reporting, productivity, and other applications/tools to drive efficiency, innovation, and data governance.
  • Empower analytics application end users through the enhancement documentation and training materials curricula ensuring these reference materials are actively managed for updates.
  • Ensure analytics and reporting change is managed appropriately and in a timely manner from a Finance perspective.

Profile Criteria:

  • Part-Qualified / Finalist or Fully-Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with experience working in a finance-based reporting role (management accounts, financial reporting, product control, tax or regulatory reporting).
  • Experience of working with Business Intelligence tools (particularly PowerBI, Tableau or Alteryx) essential.
  • Confident working with large data sets and performing data reconciliation is essential.
  • Good stakeholder management and communication skills.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively contribute to the evolution of Power BI analytics with timely and accurate updates to shared dashboards and strengthening governance framework around data analytics delivery.
  • Perform required data analysis, data modelling, data integration and data reconciliation activities to support a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Solicit/clarify and document business analysis and reporting requirements through workshops and other facilitation techniques.
  • Deliver semi-automated solution prototypes and EUC tools designing and implementing appropriate systematic and/or procedural controls.
  • Perform and direct timely User Acceptance Testing completion for/by Finance colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Data analytics change management planning and delivery activities relating to Power BI Workspaces.
  • Lead and participate in data analytics working groups and other relevant fora.
  • Finance Management Reporting and Analytics SharePoint content management: creating new content, periodic reviews and content updates as required/directed.
  • Draft/review/update User Documentation for Power BI Platform, data models, data transformation and dashboards.

Additional Skills and Experience Required / Useful:

  • Experience working in a finance-based reporting role (management accounts, financial reporting, product control, tax or regulatory reporting) highly desirable.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills/experience is essential.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles is essential.
  • Practical knowledge of SQL highly desirable and practical experience using MS PowerBI Dax, MS Teams and MS SharePoint is desirable.
  • Experience performing user acceptance testing (UAT) is desirable.
  • Effective communicator with experience working with remote stakeholders.
  • Confidence in working both as part of a team (leading/participating) and as an individual.
  • Prior experience requirements gathering/documenting requirements is desirable.
  • Positive and proactive in learning, accurate and methodical in delivering work and able to proactively look for opportunities to improve processes/documentation through innovation.
