Are you keen to lead the establishment of a Swedish cleantech company in the UK market, taking full responsibility for sales, service delivery, growth and market development? Centriair is now recruiting a Country Manager UK who combines commercial leadership, business development and strong technical understanding in a role with substantial authority and significant strategic influence.

About the role

As Country Manager UK, you will assume full responsibility for establishing, developing and leading Centriair’s operations in the United Kingdom. The position is both strategic and operational, and you will initially manage sales directly, supported by the head office in Sweden. You will serve as the central point of contact between customers, the technical organisation and group leadership, while gradually establishing a local UK presence across both sales and service. Centriair already has a solid installed base in the UK with 26 projects currently in operation. Historically, the market has been managed from Sweden and through agents. The company is now reinforcing its position through a local presence, expanded service capacity and a stronger platform for long‑term growth.

Your responsibilities

  • Establish and lead Centriair’s operations in the UK market.
  • Drive sales with a clear focus on complex industrial air purification solutions.
  • Build a fully functioning service and after‑sales organisation.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and dependable performance across the installed base.
  • Develop and implement market and customer strategies.
  • Identify and develop business opportunities across the food industry, biogas, waste and wider process industries.
  • Represent Centriair in customer discussions, projects and industry forums.
  • Recruit a service technician and, as the business expands, subsequently build a local sales team.
  • Take full responsibility for budgeting, forecasting and overall P&L performance for the UK market.
  • Collaborate closely with the technical, project and delivery organisation in Sweden to ensure quality in both solutions and deliveries.

The role involves travel across the United Kingdom and close collaboration with the head office.

What the role offers

  • An opportunity to build a market from the ground up within a rapidly expanding sector.
  • A mandate to shape the local organisation, structure and strategy.
  • A position within a company recognised for technological leadership and strong market references.
  • A blend of strategic market development and hands‑on commercial responsibility.
  • A central position in Centriair’s international expansion.

Your background

  • Several years’ experience in complex B2B sales involving industrial solutions, technical systems or project-based offerings and practical industrial/Waste site experience under technical understanding.
  • Experience in establishing markets or holding commercial responsibility for a defined territory.
  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to quickly familiarise yourself with advanced systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting and performance monitoring.
  • Experience of building teams or organisations in growth or early‑stage environments.
  • A solid understanding of industrial customers’ business models, operational reliability requirements and regulatory frameworks.
  • Desirable experience includes work within process industries, energy, cleantech, biogas, waste or food production, as well as exposure to B2B marketing and international organisations.

You are commercially driven, action-oriented and confident in technical and commercial discussions. You are persistent, structured and thrive in managing longer sales cycles built on relationships, quality and a holistic perspective. This is a new role and you can be based around London, Cambridge, Oxford or Birmingham.

Personal attributes

  • Entrepreneurial and motivated by building the UK market from the ground up.
  • Relationship-driven with a strong ability to build trust and foster long‑term relationships.
  • Able to combine strategic thinking with hands‑on execution while developing strong, enduring relationships.
  • Independent and confident in sound decision‑making.
  • Structured, persistent and disciplined.
  • Humble, collaborative and driven.
