The LGT Capital Partners Private Equity Off‑Cycle Internship Program is a unique opportunity for top performing students to gain experience across the entire private equity investment process. The successful candidate would ideally start in September/October 2026 for 4‑6 months either at our headquarters in Pfaeffikon (SZ) (close to Zurich) or in London. For high performers, a progression to the Private Equity Analyst Program is a possibility.
As an intern, you will join a team of experienced investment professionals fully dedicated to direct co‑investments. Since 2010, our team has committed more than USD 13 billion to over 400 direct co‑investments globally. Consideration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues is an integral part of our investment process as underlined by our dedicated impact fund focused on direct co‑investments. The internship will provide you with valuable insights into our business and hands‑on experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist the team in screening, analyzing, executing and monitoring direct co‑investment opportunities, including equity recaps and follow‑on financing.
- Perform financial analysis and modeling.
- Conduct industry research and business analysis.
- Support the preparation of investment committee materials.
- Maintain internal databases ensuring data quality and accuracy.
Requirements
- Outstanding academic credentials from a leading university and currently enrolled in a full‑time Bachelor or Master degree program in business, economics, finance or similar.
- Internship experience in a similar role is beneficial.
- Advanced Excel skills and a solid understanding of financial modeling.
- Excellent English writing and communication skills.
- Self‑starter personality with an international mindset.
- Strong analytical skills with focus on details and high degree of quality.
