*Semi Senior Accountant* LGS Vision are delighted to be working with a modern, well-established firm of accountants who are currently seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant.
The firm of Accountants are situated in Basildon.
They offer a full range of accounting services to their clients, who include sole traders, partnerships and small limited companies.
Key
Responsibilities: Full management of portfolio of assigned work tasks.
Building strong client relationships within the portfolio.
Preparation of compliance work and management information.
Management of client support work and deadlines.
Mentorship of direct reports, overseeing work and training.
Assisting with client engagement and disengagement process.
Training meetings with client on digital bookkeeping software.
Reporting to Manager with updates in relation to your portfolio of work.
Compliance
Services: Control account reconciliations and preparing a reconciled trial balance.
Preparation of end of year statutory accounts and tax computations.
Preparation and review of sole trader accounts and personal tax returns.
Review profit extraction and tax-saving strategies for clients.
Preparation and sending dividend vouchers to clients.
Assist in completing the management reports.
Assist in pre- and post-year-end meetings with clients.
Build and maintain client relationships through meetings, calls, and emails, answering any questions about their accounts and taxes.
Bookkeeping
Services: Complete and review client bookkeeping, including CIS and VAT Returns, ensuring compliance with current HMRC rules.
Reconciliation of main control accounts.
Dealing with client queries who undertake their own bookkeeping.
Manage bookkeeping deadlines for yourself and ensure all bookkeeping deadlines are met for the team.
Providing training to client on digital bookkeeping software.
Completing digital migration of client data to online bookkeeping software.
