We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technician to carry out Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) work on lift equipment and machinery, while also providing essential administrative and operational support to the Operations Manager. This hybrid role requires strong technical expertise, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

At LGMG UK we provide direct machine sales, service, and parts support for our aerial work platforms and telehandlers throughout the UK and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on lift machinery and related equipment.
- Conduct functional testing, safety checks, and quality assurance prior to dispatch.
- Identify faults, carry out basic repairs, and escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Ensure all equipment meets company standards, manufacturer specifications, and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and technical documentation.
- Support installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting tasks when required.
- Assist the Operations Manager with daily administrative tasks.
- Prepare and update job files, schedules, and operational paperwork.
- Support coordination of deliveries, collections, and equipment movements.
- Help manage workshop workflows to ensure timely completion of PDI work.
- Maintain inventory logs, parts usage records, and stock monitoring.
- Assist with health & safety compliance documentation and audits.
- Proven experience as a Technician, Senior Technician, or similar technical role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems (experience with lifts or heavy machinery preferred).
- Experience of supervising warehouse staff.
- Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and inspection checklists.
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Strong administrative abilities, including documentation and record-keeping.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems (MS Office, digital forms, job management software).
- Excellent organisation, time-management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and support junior technicians when needed.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
