Overview Of The Role

As a Workshop Engineer at LGH Winches you will be an integral part of our team dedicated to maintaining the high standards across a range of winching equipment within our fleet to ensure that these comply with the statutorily established rules.

Overview Of Accountabilities

  • Servicing, Examination, and Testing of winches, Cable Drum Trailers and associated equipment.
  • Potential requirement to participate in the breakdown service for maintenance/repair of equipment outside office hours.
  • Ensuring correct administrative completion.
  • Collaborating with various departments to understand the customer requirements.
  • Co-responsibility for order and tidiness in the workshop.
  • Any other work relating to the workshop.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Completed training as workshop engineer/ plant fitter.
  • Ability to diagnose faults on both hydraulic and electrical circuits.
  • Command of the English language both orally and in writing.
  • Safety awareness and understanding.
  • Full driving license (current & with maximum of 6 penalty points).
  • Ability to prioritise effectively under pressure when required.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to travel throughout the UK as required.
  • Undertake training courses relevant to your role.
  • Able to work outside normal working hours (weekends/evenings).
