Covering Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport, Holiday Inn Edinburgh, and Glasgow Argyle Hotel. In hospitality, the guest experience is only ever as strong as the colleague experience behind it. If you’re an HR professional who loves being close to the action — coaching leaders, building confident teams, and shaping a culture people genuinely want to be part of — this could be your next brilliant move.
We’re looking for a Regional HR Manager to support three busy Scottish hotels, partnering with GMs and Heads of Department to create a high-performing, people-positive environment where standards are clear, support is real, and development is a daily habit — not a once-a-year tick box.
The impact you’ll have:
This is a hands-on, commercially aware role where you’ll balance warmth with backbone — bringing calm, consistent HR leadership across multiple sites while keeping a strong pulse on what teams need to thrive. You’ll be a trusted advisor to hotel leadership, helping to strengthen performance, engagement, retention, and capability — all while ensuring we operate safely, fairly, and in line with best practice and employment legislation.
What you’ll be doing (the good stuff):
- People partnership & culture: Be visible across all three properties — building relationships quickly and becoming the “go-to” for managers and teams. Champion engagement, recognition and wellbeing initiatives that genuinely land in a hotel environment.
- Employee relations & case management: Lead and support ER activity end-to-end (disciplinaries, grievances, absence management), coaching leaders to handle matters confidently, consistently and fairly.
- Talent, hiring & onboarding: Partner with leaders on workforce planning, recruitment needs, and smooth onboarding — ensuring new starters feel welcomed, clear, and set up to succeed from day one.
- Learning, development & performance: Help leaders grow leaders — supporting performance conversations, development pathways, and practical training that improves capability on the floor.
- Change & projects: Support people-focused projects across sites — from organisational change to operational improvements — bringing clarity, structure and empathy through transition.
What we’re looking for:
You’re the kind of HR professional who can switch comfortably between a sensitive colleague conversation and a robust performance plan — and do both with confidence.
Experience & capability:
- Proven HR generalist/manager experience (ideally hospitality, retail, leisure, or another fast-paced multi-site environment).
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, with the judgement to advise leaders decisively.
- Confident coaching style — you don’t “do HR to people”; you enable managers to lead well.
- Comfortable using HR systems and data to spot trends and drive improvements.
Qualifications (ideal, not essential):
- CIPD qualified (or working towards / equivalent experience).
Practical:
Happy to travel regularly between Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport, Holiday Inn Edinburgh and Glasgow Argyle Hotel (this is a visible, present role).
