The Opportunity

Responsible for Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport & Best Western Glasgow Argyle. Are you a passionate sales professional with a flair for the hospitality industry? We're on the lookout for a dynamic Sales Development Manager to join our vibrant team. Led by our inspiring General Manager (GM) and Head of Sales, you'll drive new business and elevate our hotel's market presence.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Hit Those Targets: Collaborate with the GM and HSD to smash your personal new business sales targets and support our overall hotel sales budget.
  • Local Sales Dynamo: Ignite local sales activities and network by segment to achieve impressive new business goals.
  • Conversion Champion: Implement proactive sales strategies to convert at least 35% of the prospect sales pipeline in business group and meetings segments.
  • Revenue Maximiser: Identify and target proactive sales activities in the local corporate market to boost revenue in social banqueting, Christmas events, and Open Lobby F&B.
  • Sales Culture Advocate: Partner with the GM to foster a strong hotel sales culture, focusing on local new business generation.
  • Client Engagement Expert: Exceed client expectations with top-notch sales service, needs qualification, and professional presentation of bespoke proposals and site visits.
  • Market Intelligence Analyst: Work with the GM and CRM to conduct thorough market intelligence (SWOT analysis) and keep an eye on competitor pricing, facilities, and activities.
  • Hotel Ambassador: Represent our hotel at FAM events, client hospitality, industry, and local networking events to raise our market profile and generate new business leads.
