As Night Manager, you'll be the most senior leader on property overnight, taking ownership of the entire guest experience and hotel operation. You'll:

  • Lead, motivate, and support the night team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Oversee all overnight hotel operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Respond to guest queries and challenges with empathy, professionalism, and confidence.
  • Act as the key decision-maker during overnight incidents and emergencies.
  • Complete nightly audits and reports, ensuring accuracy for the leadership team.
  • Maintain the highest standards of safety, security, compliance, and cash handling.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, housekeeping, and operational teams to resolve issues quickly.
  • Deliver effective handovers that keep communication flowing between departments.
  • Coach and develop team members, helping them grow in confidence and capability.
  • Maintain detailed records of overnight activity and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

That said, you'll ideally bring

  • Previous experience in a hotel supervisory or management role, such as Night Manager, Night Supervisor, Front Office Manager, Duty Manager, or Assistant Front Office Manager.
  • A strong understanding of hotel operations, including front office procedures, guest services, night audit processes, and health & safety requirements.
  • Experience leading, motivating, and developing teams, particularly during out-of-hours operations.
  • Confidence in handling guest complaints and resolving issues calmly and professionally.
  • The ability to make sound decisions independently and remain composed in challenging situations.
  • Experience working with hotel PMS systems and completing financial or night audit processes would be advantageous.
  • A good understanding of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and operational compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust and confidence with guests, colleagues, and senior leaders alike.
