Summary of the Role
As a Workshop Engineer at LGH Winches you will be an integral part of our team dedicated to maintaining the high standards across a range of winching equipment within our fleet to ensure that these comply with the statutorily established rules.
Overview of Accountabilities
- Servicing, Examination, and Testing of winches, Cable Drum Trailers and associated equipment.
- Potential requirement to participate in the breakdown service for maintenance/repair of equipment outside office hours.
- Ensuring correct administrative completion.
- Collaborating with various departments to understand the customer requirements.
- Co-responsibility for order and tidiness in the workshop.
- Any other work relating to the workshop.
Qualifications and Experience
- Completed training as workshop engineer/ plant fitter.
- Ability to diagnose faults on both hydraulic and electrical circuits.
- Command of the English language both orally and in writing.
- Safety awareness and understanding.
- Full driving license (current & with maximum of 6 penalty points).
- Ability to prioritise effectively under pressure when required.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to travel throughout the UK as required.
- Undertake training courses relevant to your role.
- Able to work outside normal working hours (weekends/evenings).
