Are you an expert in keeping children safe in the digital world? Are you looking for a role where no two days are the same, and your work has a direct, positive impact on schools across the country?

If you are a self-motivated, passionate safeguarding professional who loves translating digital risks into effective safeguarding practice, we want to hear from you.

LGfL - Why Work with Us?

LGfL (The National Grid for Learning) is an education innovator and a recognised national centre of excellence for safeguarding. We donโ€™t just talk about digital safety; we power it.

  • Massive Scale: Our safeguarding technology keeps 1.5 million children safe in schools by filtering one billion webpages every day.
  • National Influence: We work directly at a national policy level, creating resources alongside the DfE and shaping national statutory guidance.
  • True Innovation: We are pioneers in "SafetyTech," equipping schools with cutting-edge tools to tackle digital risks.

The Opportunity

This is a uniquely varied role designed for someone who thrives on diversity in their work. You will work nationally across a broad range of educational settings, including primary, secondary, SEND schools, and Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs).

On any given week, you might find yourself:

  • Empowering Educators: Designing and delivering high-quality, engaging CPD and training sessions to teachers, school leaders, and governors.
  • Shaping the Curriculum: Creating dynamic classroom resources mapped directly to statutory RSHE and Online Safety guidance to build effective digital literacy.
  • Demystifying Technology: Diving into the technical settings of filtering and monitoring systems to help schools meet statutory standards under Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).
  • Solving Complex Problems: Providing expert, one-to-one advice and guidance to Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) handling challenging online harms or digital incidents.
  • Amplifying the Message: Writing punchy blogs, creating policy templates, or filming quick social media clips to explain tricky digital safety concepts to parents and teachers.

Who We Are Looking For:

We need a dynamic, credible voice at the intersection of education, technology, and child protection. You will be someone who loves working on your own initiative but thrives as part of a collaborative team.

Your Experience & Skills:

  • Background: You hold a degree (or equivalent) and bring a background as a Qualified Teacher (QTS), Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), or similar role in education/social care.
  • Experience: You have at least 5 years of proven experience in a school, local authority, or MAT capacity directly supporting safeguarding or digital leadership.
  • Communication Power: You are a confident, passionate public speaker who can make technical risks feel plain, accessible, and actionable for school staff and students alike.
  • Statutory Knowledge: You have an up-to-date, thorough understanding of KCSIE, RSHE guidance, Gen AI developments, and broader child protection trends.
  • The Right Mindset: You believe in digital balance - empowering children to navigate the digital world safely rather than simply blocking their access.
