We’re seeking a Head of Commercial to lead the next phase of growth – shaping strategy, strengthening our market position, and driving sustainable, profitable revenue across a complex, global ecosystem. This is a high-impact leadership role, working closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team to evolve how we go to market and accelerate performance.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead commercial strategy
- Define and deliver the commercial strategy for BRCGS, aligned to business goals and market trends
- Shape and evolve our global go‑to‑market approach
- Translate market insight into clear, actionable growth plans
- Drive revenue and performance
- Own revenue, margin and budget delivery
- Build strong forecasting discipline and pipeline visibility
- Focus on sustainable growth – not short‑term wins
- Strengthen growth
- Lead business development across the BRCGS portfolio
- Build a high‑performing sales and account management function
- Improve conversion, retention and long‑term customer value
- Activate a “push / pull” market model
- Lead engagement across both sides of the ecosystem:
- Buy‑side: retailers, brand owners, demand drivers
- Sell‑side: certification bodies and delivery partners
- Increase influence, demand and market pull‑through
- Build partnerships and new routes to market
- Own and evolve the partner strategy across certification bodies
- Identify new commercial models, channels and opportunities for growth
- Work cross‑functionally to unlock growth
- Partner closely with Marketing to strengthen demand generation and thought leadership
- Collaborate with Standards, Technical and Digital teams to ensure relevance in a fast‑changing market
- Align with Operations to drive better insight, systems and performance
- Lead and grow the team
- Build and develop a high‑performing commercial organisation
- Create a culture of accountability, pace and clarity
- Coach leaders and scale capability as the business grows

- Background in certification, assurance or adjacent sectors is highly valuable
