As the Director, Paid Media at LGC, you will play a key role in crafting and driving our paid advertising strategies. This will help our e‑Commerce division reach new heights. This opportunity allows you to apply your expertise to develop and deliver campaigns that exceed our revenue growth goals. We are looking for someone to manage our paid budget and overall P&L, working closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure flawless campaign execution and optimization.
Key Responsibilities- Define and lead the overall Paid strategy, aligning campaign goals with broader eCommerce objectives.
- Own and manage Paid P&L – this includes setting, managing, and allocating the Paid marketing budget to improve the impact on the business.
- Coordinate the planning, execution, and ongoing optimisation of Paid campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.
- Manage and collaborate with a digital media agency to deliver the paid media strategy effectively. Ensure alignment with LGC’s goals and improve incremental revenue within ROAS constraints.
- Communicate effectively with internal collaborators by presenting campaign performance, insights, and actionable recommendations.
- Monitor and effectively manage benchmarks such as ROAS, CTR, CPC, CAC, and revenue.
- Generate detailed performance and operational reports with actionable insights for further optimisation.
- Continuously optimise campaigns through testing, bid adjustments, ad copy refinement, and audience segmentation.
- Collaborate with the wider e‑Commerce organisation and partners outside of the team (e.g., Marketing, Product Management) to ensure coordinated and cohesive campaign execution.
- Identify new opportunities in Paid, including testing new ad formats and growing into emerging platforms or channels.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, platform features, and industry guidelines in Paid advertising and AI.
- Proven experience leading Paid campaigns (with an emphasis on PPC and Paid search) and managing digital advertising strategies at a senior level, including P&L management.
- Skilled in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, possessing comprehensive technical insight into campaign configuration, administration, and refinement.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret campaign data, identify trends, and make data‑driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey insights and recommendations to collaborators.
- Deep understanding of campaign metrics, conversion tracking, and analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
- Innovative mentality with a focus on continuous testing, learning, and campaign improvement.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of Paid platform updates, industry guidelines, and digital marketing trends.
- Leadership and team management ability, including performance management and professional development of team members.
- Proven senior‑level experience in managing Paid search campaigns for a B2B or B2C organisation, including overall P&L management.
- Demonstrable success in developing and implementing strategic plans that deliver measurable results.
- Hands‑on experience with Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and campaign management tools.
- Strong familiarity with Google Analytics and other digital analytics platforms for performance tracking and insights.
- Experience leading and mentoring a team of digital advertising specialists.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience summarising and presenting complex ideas and data/reports in a structured way to audiences at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively with cross‑functional collaborators to support channel needs.
