Join Our Team as a Sales Specialist! Are you passionate about building strong relationships and driving revenue growth? LGC Standards is seeking a motivated Sales Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this hybrid role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing essential technical sales support and ensuring a seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own all Transactional accounts in an assigned geography and represent the entire LGC Standards product portfolio at new and existing customers, across all end-markets such as Pharma, Biotech, Environmental, etc.
  • Identify and close new prospect opportunities, generated from a combination of prospecting and qualification in collaboration with our marketing department or self-generated leads.
  • Actively engage with customers via email, phone calls and online meetings to qualify leads, convert prospects, follow-up on quotations and drive new sales.
  • Use LGC’s sales tools and virtual capabilities to prospect, nurture, close opportunities and conduct ongoing territory planning.
  • Close cooperation with marketing to launch new products and the core end-market team to identify competitor activity and trends.
  • Be responsible for the daily management of relevant service cloud cases, ensuring tasks are dealt with and a proper response time is guaranteed.

Qualifications

  • MSc in chemistry, Pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, or a related subject area (blend of educational qualifications and experience will be reviewed).
  • Proven experience in selling technical products used in laboratories.
  • Successful track record in account management.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry trends and market dynamics.
  • Strong English communication skills. Additional languages are an asset.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% as needed.
