Job Purpose
As a Project Manager in the Standards IT team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering projects on the LGC Standards Digital Plan, which align with the strategic direction set by the LGC Standards Senior Leadership Team. This role is a 6-month contract, during which you will work with senior stakeholders across all areas of the business and on Salesforce projects that deliver Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities, operational efficiencies and improvements to processes and data.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects through initiation, definition, execution, testing and transition to BAU in line with the team’s project delivery guidelines.
- Support business case creation and help to define KPIs.
- Ensure processes are in place for KPI tracking and benefits realisation post go-live.
- Create the project plan, working with members of your project teams to define tasks, align them into a manageable work breakdown structure, and gain stakeholder approval.
- Manage risks and issues, and apply LGC’s change control process where appropriate.
- Create status reports, maintain RAID logs and regularly communicate progress to internal and external stakeholders.
- Estimate costs and resource requirements for your projects and manage those within agreed tolerances.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and third-party supplier management.
Qualifications Knowledge, Experience and Technical Skills
- At least 5 years project management experience including working as a Senior Project Manager.
- Working knowledge of common project and change management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Project management certification is essential.
- Skilled at RAID (Risk, Assumption, Issue, Dependency) management.
- Experience at managing multi-discipline projects which include both business and technical resources from initial inception through to delivery and benefits realisation.
- Proven end-to-end delivery of projects in an IT environment including experience of managing business process change.
- Excellent communicator used to working with geographically dispersed and diverse teams.
- A self-starter, with the ability and confidence to work with very light supervision.
- Knowledge of common IT technology and applications.
- Ability to learn quickly and show enthusiasm to expand their knowledge base.
