Job Purpose
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst on the LGC Standards IT team, you will have a major role in advancing key projects aligned with our Digital Plan. Your efforts will foster commercial value, operational enhancements, and process improvements consistent with our strategic aims. This 12-month contract is a great opportunity to collaborate with senior professionals and contribute to LGC's strategic direction!
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising with Standards collaborators to capture and analyze business needs for your assigned projects.
- Analyzing the business impact of requirements and detailing the As-Is and To-Be processes for each project.
- Recognizing distinct benefits connected to each project and ensuring they correspond with our strategic goals.
- Coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and advancing issues for remediation to ensure project success.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with key business collaborators.
- Producing and delivering against agreed project work and key achievements.
- Contributing to a noticeable improvement in project delivery within the team.
- Engaging effectively with teams across LGC IT and the Standards business unit.
Qualifications Knowledge, Experience and Technical Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with substantial time in a Senior or Lead role.
- Formal qualification in business analysis and requirements definition at the practitioner level.
- Demonstrable experience with Salesforce CRM projects.
- Working knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
- Proficiency in using tools such as Jira and MS Visio for detailing business requirements.
- Ability to analyze and clearly articulate the business impacts of requirements.
- Outstanding communication skills, capable of delivering balanced communications to senior business representatives.
- Highly organized, with the ability to define projects and drive them to completion according to plan.
- Strong analytical approach with good interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to adapt positively to changing priorities and project challenges.
