As the Field Application Specialist, you will sell the ATCC portfolio of cell lines, cell models, micro-organisms, and related media platforms within a specific region to meet the revenue plan. Your main task is to identify, develop, and close high-value customer projects through technical collaboration and strong commercial skills. You will be an expert in cell culture, ensuring valuable peer-to-peer interactions with end-user scientists while improving value.
Key Responsibilities:- Achieve or exceed revenue goals and objectives by developing and implementing an effective territory business plan.
- Identify, progress, and close new high-value opportunities for targeted groups of the product portfolio or within specific customer segments.
- Provide accurate business forecasts for the product groups and portfolio.
- Establish solid working relationships with the inside sales team and lateral functions (e.g., marketing, technical service, supply chain, and customer service).
- Train, enable, and support the broader LGC sales organization to improve revenues and market visibility of the ATCC portfolio.
- Collaborate with the ATCC commercial organization to increase revenue potential and customer experience.
- Build comprehensive technical and commercial expertise regarding the ATCC portfolio, along with a solid grasp of the characteristics and advantages of competitors' offerings.
- Coordinate and deliver technical seminars, attend local trade shows and conferences, and identify additional opportunities to promote the portfolio within the defined territory.
- Conduct market sensing.
- Develop knowledge of current and potential factors that may affect revenues, including funding, market dynamics, and end-user needs.
- Maintain records within LGC CRM.
- Actively improve the quality and full ownership of the regional prospect list.
- Ensure all opportunities are complete and current at all times.
- Attend all required sales meetings, training sessions, and LGC-mandated courses.
- Actively seek to expand your knowledge and skills.
- Build functional relationships with senior scientists through domain expertise and commercial rigor.

- Master’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably a PhD or equivalent experience, in Cell Biology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field and/or industry/functional experience.
- Proficiency in English.
- Two years of professional sales experience.
- Familiarity and hands-on experience with cell culture methods.
- Experience in a large matrix organization.
- Must be flexible and willing to travel for a large proportion of work time.
- General computer proficiency and use of a commercial CRM.
- Driving license.
