About UK & Ireland 2028 Limited
UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is the local organising committee responsible for delivering UEFA EURO 2028 across the UK & Ireland. We work on behalf of the five Football Associations and in partnership with governments, host cities, stadiums and delivery partners to plan and deliver the tournament safely, inclusively and to world-class standards.
About UEFA EURO 2028
UEFA EURO is one of the world’s largest sporting events. In 2028, it will be hosted across multiple cities in the UK & Ireland, requiring large-scale coordination across transport, infrastructure, stadiums and public services. UEFA owns the tournament and sets requirements; UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is responsible for delivering it locally.
The Role
Manage the commercial and contractual activities that support delivery of the UK & Ireland 2028 mobility programme, ensuring mobility contract activity is fully aligned with wider organisational contract management, finance and procurement processes. The role will work closely with Finance and Procurement to plan and run procurement activity, monitor budgets and expenditure, maintain robust contract controls, and manage effective relationships with suppliers. It will provide clear commercial oversight from initial requirement and sourcing through contract award, mobilisation, performance management, change control and close-out, helping ensure contracts deliver the required outcomes, value for money, financial control and compliance with organisational policies.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle for mobility suppliers, ensuring each stage aligns with wider organisational contract management, finance and procurement processes, from requirements definition and procurement planning through award, mobilisation, delivery, change control, renewal and close-out.
- Work closely with the Procurement team to prepare sourcing strategies, scopes of work, evaluation criteria, tender documentation, governance submissions and contract award recommendations, ensuring activity follows agreed procurement routes, approval thresholds and organisational policies.
- Partner with Finance to establish contract budgets, monitor commitments, purchase orders, invoices, forecasts and actual expenditure, and ensure financial reporting, approvals and controls are consistent with wider finance processes.
- Maintain a complete and accurate mobility contract register that supports wider contract management reporting, including contract values, key dates, deliverables, payment milestones, extensions, obligations, risks, decisions and required approvals.
- Build and maintain constructive supplier relationships, acting as the principal point of coordination for commercial and contractual matters and supporting clear communication between suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor supplier performance against contractual deliverables, service levels, milestones, budgets and quality standards, coordinating performance reviews and agreeing corrective actions where required.
What we’re looking for
Essential experience and skills:
- Experience managing contracts and suppliers through the full lifecycle, including procurement, mobilisation, performance management, change control and close-out.
- Experience working collaboratively with Procurement and Finance teams to support compliant sourcing, contracting, budget management, financial reporting and approval processes.
- Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to interpret contract terms, monitor supplier obligations, assess value for money and identify financial or contractual risk.
- Demonstrable experience of monitoring budgets, commitments, forecasts, invoices and actual expenditure, with strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent stakeholder and supplier relationship management skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively, resolve issues and influence outcomes.
- Strong document control and record-keeping skills, with the ability to maintain a clear audit trail of approvals, decisions, contractual correspondence and finance or procurement governance requirements.
How you’ll succeed
- Adaptable – leads in complex environments.
- Catalyst – enables and motivates others.
- Critical Thinker – makes sound decisions.
- Inclusion – creates inclusive team environments.
- Performance Focus – drives results and standards.
- Positive Impact – shows resilience and solutions focus.
