UNISON Eastern Region union organiser position
The Role
UNISON is the public service union. We bring together the voices of over 1.3 million workers in local government, health, education and outsourced services. Our 1,200 staff work across 12 UK regions and our national centre in London. Regional offices support the work of local branches, helping to represent, recruit, organise and retain members β as well as making key contributions in areas such as campaigning, strategies for negotiation and bargaining, and actions against discrimination.
There has never been a more important time to protect our members in the public services and encourage those that are not members to join a powerful voice. Are you a people person with good listening skills and problem-solving skills? Do you possess the determination to make a difference to peopleβs lives?
UNISON Eastern Region is looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and resourceful individual to help us to continue to grow our organisation.
Through high profile campaigns, the number of UNISON members and activists in the region increases each year. Itβs an exciting time to be a union organiser. Successful candidates will join a winning team that makes a big difference in public service workplaces across the region.
