Competitive salary and benefits package offered

Help shape the growth of new businesses at Admiral Pioneer.

As FP&A Manager, you’ll take increasing responsibility for financial planning and performance reporting across a selected group of ventures within Pioneer’s portfolio. You’ll work closely with venture leadership teams, turning financial and business data into clear plans and practical recommendations.

This is a hands‑on role with exposure to senior executives and the Pioneer Board, combining budgeting and forecasting with varied commercial projects.

Why this role matters

Admiral Pioneer builds and grows new businesses within Admiral Group, exploring customer needs through new products, business models and partnerships.

As these businesses develop, leaders need to understand what’s driving results and where to focus next. You’ll help them test assumptions, assess trade‑offs and make informed decisions about investment and growth.

Your work could influence a venture’s financial plan, the assessment of a new partnership or the response to a performance challenge. You’ll connect the detail behind the numbers with the decisions that shape each business’s future.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Co‑lead budgeting and forecasting for selected Pioneer ventures, working with leadership teams to connect financial assumptions with strategic goals.
  • Deliver regular reporting on key financial measures, making the drivers, risks and opportunities clear.
  • Work with executive teams to turn performance insight into practical steps that support growth and improve results.
  • Help prepare and present updates to the Pioneer Board, communicating performance and its implications clearly.
  • Build strong relationships with senior executives and functional leaders, understanding their objectives and helping solve commercial and financial problems.
  • Develop financial models and scenarios that help teams test assumptions and assess their options.
  • Lead financial analysis for projects such as growth initiatives, partnerships, contracts and cost optimisation.

What we’re looking for

You’ll bring strong financial analysis skills, commercial curiosity and the confidence to work closely with senior leaders. You’ll be comfortable taking responsibility while staying involved in the detail.

You’ll have:

  • At least five years’ experience in FP&A, accounting, finance or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
  • The ability to work through complex data, identify what matters and turn your findings into clear recommendations.
  • Experience working with senior executives, with the confidence to explain your analysis, challenge assumptions and discuss trade‑offs.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with AI tools.
  • The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and adapt as business needs change.
  • An appetite to take on broader responsibility and work across different aspects of finance and insurance.

Experience in insurance, financial services or a startup environment would be useful.
