Café Supervisor
Location: The Vench Corner Café, Lockleaze, Bristol
Contract: 25 hours per week, fixed term until 31st March 2027
Salary: £17,680 (FTE £26,520)

Groundwork South is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Café Supervisor to join our team at The Vench Corner Café, based alongside The Vench adventure playground and community centre in Lockleaze.
As Café Supervisor, you will help lead the day-to-day running of the café, ensuring excellent customer service, high food hygiene standards, and a welcoming environment for all visitors. You will support Café Assistants, volunteers, and trainees while also working closely with the wider Vench team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise café operations during shifts.
- Support and guide Café Assistants, volunteers, and trainees.
- Maintain high standards of food and drink preparation, customer service, and cleanliness.
- Operate café equipment, including coffee machines, and train others in their use.
- Assist with stock control, deliveries, and equipment monitoring.
- Support community initiatives and collaborative projects.
You will have
- Previous experience in a café, hospitality, or food service setting.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety practices.
- The ability to lead by example and work effectively as part of a team.
