The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

Location - London or Winchester with hybrid working available. In-office time as per departmental requirements, currently a MINIMUM of 2 days per week (40%).

Our Heath Analytics practice provides analytical and research services for organisations across the life sciences and healthcare industries. Our team brings together clinicians, statisticians, epidemiologists, health economists, bioinformaticians and health data scientists alongside our established actuarial, analytics and technology teams to deliver new solutions to the fundamental challenges in health. Our team’s mission is to help move health systems from importers of illness to exporters of health and to support our clients to deliver value to patients. We have developed a track record for leading approaches to real world evidence generation, drug safety, health economic modelling, evidence strategy and market access, growing the team quickly in response to the demand we are seeing for the service offerings we have developed.

We are looking for a new team member who can bring a high level of scientific rigor, is motivated to work at the cutting edge of methods and RWE, and is committed to going the extra mile for our clients. You will play a key role in the design, analysis and reporting of studies using real world healthcare data, such as electronic healthcare records, registries and claims databases. We work with data sources from many countries but experience in real world data from the US, UK, major EU markets and Japan is desirable, as is experience of designing or carrying out studies to meet post authorisation regulatory commitments or evaluating risk minimisation measures. Please note, to be considered for this position, you must have experience in a consulting role or a CRO. Our Health Analytics work: LCP’s Health Analytics team works across the healthcare and life sciences markets, combining health expertise with innovative approaches from our work in other sectors to tackle leading health issues. Examples of the types of projects that we undertake for our clients include:

  • Real world evidence studies using electronic healthcare records, registries, biobanks and databases
  • Advanced study designs including external comparator arms and quantitative bias analysis
  • Innovative approaches to identifying and quantifying unmet need and inequalities
  • Studies addressing post authorisation regulatory commitments and other analyses supporting health authority questions

As a Consultant in LCP’s Health Analytics team you will be involved in a diverse range of projects, covering both client and non-client work. Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Demonstrate a very high level of expertise in real world evidence
  • Lead aspects of the design and delivery of RWE studies, with your contribution aligned to your area of specialist skill (epidemiology, biostatistics or data science/programming), including:
  • Study design
  • Evidence strategy
  • Data source assessment
  • Protocol development
  • Statistical analysis plan development
  • Data management (SQL, PySpark)
  • Statistical programming (R, Python)
  • Project management
  • Quality control
  • Report and manuscript writing
  • Oversee and review the work of other members of the team and support their development, including:
    • Contribution to team learning and development
    • Contribution to the development of internal resources, tools and processes
  • Contribute to developing advanced methods capabilities in this space
  • Demonstrate and develop your expertise by contributing to thought leadership activities
  • What skills, qualities and experience must you have?

    • Demonstrable experience in a relevant role at a CRO or consultancy, with a health-related Masters degree or PhD, ideally in epidemiology, biostatistics, health data science or a related speciality
    • An excellent grounding in relevant methods with demonstrable experience in conceptualising and delivering previous studies and projects
    • Excellent communication skills alongside good presentation skills and the ability to explain complex issues to others
    • Excellent report writing skills
    • Excellent Microsoft Office skills and be highly competent in the use of Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • If your specialist area is Data Science/Programming, you should be expert in R or Python
    • Experience in project management, leading multidisciplinary teams and the execution of high-quality scientific work
    • Initiative in every aspect of your work and creative in developing original solutions to problems
    • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task across several different projects alongside mentoring and coordinating less experienced colleagues work
