The Senior Consultant role is part of NTAM EMEA Control, responsible for the oversight, reporting and execution of the Operational Resiliency initiatives, supporting the global rollout of the Operational Resiliency Framework across NTAM.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate and drive the NTAM response to Operational Resilience.
- Understand the global regulatory Operational Resilience landscape and support Subject Matter Experts across NTAM.
- Oversee ongoing review of NTAM adherence to the Operational Resilience Policy and Standard.
- Represent NTAM in discussions with SMEs across other Northern Trust Business Units.
- Maintain key components of operational resiliency (Important Business Services, Impact Tolerances, Value Chain mapping, Scenario Testing) and drive consistency across NTAM.
- Lead business dependency oversight; monitor risks and vulnerabilities across all NTAM services, support Management Information reporting and remediation tracking.
- Design and produce resiliency metrics supporting both NTAM and Legal Entity perspectives.
- Establish and support the resiliency governance model within NTAM.
- Monitor and analyze the impact of new products and organizational changes on the NTAM resiliency strategy.
- Engage and educate business leaders and Boards on operational resiliency oversight.
- Partner with business, risk, audit, legal, compliance, regulators and technology control functions to drive consistent operational resiliency practices.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5‑7+ years in an Asset Management organization with proven operational risk management and/or Operational Control/Resiliency experience.
- Expert knowledge of operational resiliency, including disaster business recovery, business continuity management, third‑party vendor outsourcing, corporate risk policies and standards.
- Strong understanding of risk management practices and regulatory impacts on operational resiliency in financial services.
- Ability to drive execution through strong prioritization skills.
- Track record of working across multiple business areas and functions effectively.
