Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Analytics: Design, build, and maintain scalable Power BI dashboards and semantic models that translate business needs into intuitive reporting.
  • Architecture & Optimization: Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to evaluate performance bottlenecks and determine whether metrics should be calculated in Power BI or upstream in the ETL platform.
  • Data Integration: Query and integrate data across diverse environments, including Databricks, SQL Server, Azure, REST APIs, and SharePoint.
  • Advanced Modelling: Build complex DAX measures, KPIs, and Power Query (M) transformations to support robust decision-making.
  • Governance & Security: Manage datasets, refresh schedules, and Row-Level Security (RLS) within Power BI Service to maintain data accuracy and integrity.

Essential Experience

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with the wider Azure data ecosystem (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL) or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Exposure to DevOps workflows (Git, CI/CD for BI deployments).
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300).
